Milena is the person whom you can count for anything. From having a shelter in a momment of needing, to fighting against people to protect you. That's what she does with the ones she loves.
She was born in Finland, during a war between humans and the elves of her race. Born from a prohibited relationship between two people of both races, she was much loved by her parents, but still, she was a bond between the races, that couldn't exist in that time.
Her father, Bernard, was a human, brother of the loyal King Eric. After a betrayal from their younger brother, that ended in Eric's death by poison, Bernard should succeed in the lineage to the throne, but Theodore, had friends between de councils and drew the throne for him, using the fact that Bernard wan't much interested in the kingdom. But after Theodore assumed, everything changed. The elves had a non-agression pact with humans, and they fulfilled their part of the pact as well, just giving up of any war material they could have (wich was very little, because they were a pacific people). And humans used elven magical artifacts, that were offered in a special price for the kingdom.
But, after so much time offering the same prices, the elves needed to raise them, because it was very costly to them to produce as many items as humans wanted, with little time, and the materials were drying. But the new King should never accept that. He ordered the elves to keep the low prices, saying they it was like this for a long time, and it couldn't be changed. The elves started to negociate with Theodore, but he was irreducible. One day, he ordered the royal knights to overrun an elven manufacture, and made hostage of every elf there. The elves became very angry about it and the negociations started to get more difficult. After the knights killed the hostages, the war began.
Meanwhile, Bernard was a good friend of the elves, and started a relationship with Aislin. They met in a celebration, and after a while, they were in love. Bernard merried Aislin in little time, because he wanted to make her to be respected by both races, since he was noble. After a while, they had Milena. But the war already began, and Bernard fought for the elves, together with some human soldiers he could gather to their cause. He died in battle, so Milena never met her father, although she knows he was a very brave and kind man.
The elves lost the war with no chance, and in the same time, christianity was becoming known in the country. The priests said the elves were demons, because of their pointed ears and long lasting life, and the king agreed, since after the war, he wanted to exterminate every elf in the Earth. So, the humans started to hunt the elves and at the age of 7, Milena saw her family being slaughtered. She only escaped because she was hidden... After this momment, Milena started to run from the civilization, trying to survive in the woods, following her way to flee from Finland.
When she was 15, was captured by the humans, and got the sentence to die by fire, in a public execution, to show everyone humans and elves must never be together. She doesn't remember much of that night, just knows that she escaped and woke up on the snow, using someone's clothes, and with a strong stomach ache. She wandered in the woods, not knowing where she were, until she heard someone calling. It was Vaan, an old friend of the family. He now would protect her and assure she could find a safe place to live.
They found their way to Siberia, and lived there for 275 years, until Vaan came from a trip with a letter from a friend, saying that they could go to live in Brazil, where they would have some peace, without being secluded.
Milena can take a great care of any plant she wants to raise, and they always bloom double times the usual.
She knows about a lot of herbs and medicines, so she can help to get rid of many simple health problems and injuries.
She loves the rain and loves to be bare foot, she likes to feel her feet on the floor.
